"Proxy": Mind-Bending Dance

Crash.dance.productions returns to the Lab Theater in Minneapolis for their 14th season of inspiring and innovative dance. Inspired by the "brain in a vat" thought experiment, where experiences are simply figments in a disembodied brain, "Proxy" leaves the repetitious, unexamined world to discover what lies behind the veil of the reality accepted as truth. Dancers become cartographers, creating a stage-wide image of coordinates, waves and lines. Like a morphing inkblot, our discoveries lie in precisely how much we let ourselves see.
